Having written and published two books on Greene County, Pennsylvania, in the Civil War era ["All Quiet on the Border: The Civil War Era in Greene County, Pennsylvania" (2012), revised edition (2022, and "Intimidating the Disaffected: Resisting Rebels, Deserters, and Copperheads in Greene County, Pennsylvania 1861-1865" (2022)], I have also published articles in "America's Civil War," "Military History," and "The Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography." I have a Master of Arts in history from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh. I have taught various history and criminal justice courses at Waynesburg College, Mount Aloysius College, and Northampton Community College in Tannersville, Pennsylvania.
